Fine Gardening Crew Member

Working hours: Typical work week Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm. Occasional Saturdays

Start Date: April 1, 2019

Pay Range: Starting at $15 hourly

Reports to: Fine Gardening Crew Leader

Job purpose: Fine Gardening Crew Members are responsible for assisting the Fine Gardening Crew Leader in the maintenance of gardens throughout Rhode Island. Physical labor is required for this position.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Perennial pruning

  • Shrub pruning

  • Weeding

  • Use of small engine machinery and power equipment (push mowers/weed whips/leaf blowers/hedge trimmers) 

  • Assist with securing all materials and equipment needed

  • Site awareness and communication with Crew Leader

  • Help to ensure projects are completed on time

  • Commitment to the integrity of our work

  • Responsible to pursue training and certification as recommended by supervisor

Specific Job Details:

  • A commitment to full working hours (40-50 hrs/week) throughout the complete season (April-November) is required for this position.

  • More than two days of unpaid time-off cannot be used consecutively during the growing season (April-November).

  • Other job tasks as required or assigned.

Desired Skills:

  • 1+ years experience landscape maintenance

  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record
